Technology has taken its shape in such an efficient way that what we dream can become a reality. The best example is “IoT”, that has been evolving very quickly since past years and that too at a whopping rate. 

CES Highlights Electric Vehicles:

The CES 2018 participants showcased great advancements in technology by displaying their products connected to IoT. Automobile companies such as BMW, Toyota, Ford, Tesla and many others are working keenly on autonomous and smart vehicles. Some of them have already made the prototypes and they are in beta testing phase. One of the unique highlights of CES 2018 was an autonomous e-Pilot vehicle by Toyota that can be used for ridesharing or delivering directly at your place.

 Electric Vehicles are The Future:

According to the reports by GCP, China’s emissions are projected to grow by 3.5% in 2017 followed by the European Union. With such a rapid growth in emissions, electric vehicles serve as the best alternative to lower the emissions.

Benefits To Corporate Industries:

Corporates such as Uber has already taken the initiative of using Smart Cars in their businesses, where ridesharing and digital payments have been made possible. DHL has recently started a new way of delivering packages directly into the customer’s vehicle trunk, which will ultimately improve the quality of the Urban life. From preventing accidents to saving drive time, a Smart Vehicle can clearly benefit corporate industries.

Many MNCs in India have had been using cabs to avail pick and drop facilities to their employees, if these companies hire Smart Vehicle for the same, the employers will be able to monitor fuel consumption, idle time, mileage offered by the vehicle and driving habits. This data will be stored online and can be later used to analyze, study and amend new ways to save fuel and save money.

 Another Idea of pre-park booking can also be a great application of IoT in the automobile industry. Traffic jams majorly take place in areas where there is a limited space for parking. The driver doesn’t know where exactly the parking space is and he keeps on wandering the parking area in search of an empty space. Now, imagine that you are heading towards a restaurant down the street and your mobile or your vehicle Navigation system shows up an empty parking space nearby the restaurant. So, now you don’t have to aimlessly roam the area for the parking or become a cause for the traffic jam. Enjoy your meal!!!
